1. Operator & acceptance

These terms are an agreement between you and Sammie Haegeman, trading as CrewStory (“CrewStory”, “we”, “us”). CrewStory may later be operated by SHCF LLC or another legal entity; if this changes, these terms will be updated. By creating an account or using CrewStory you accept these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use CrewStory.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account or use CrewStory. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have permission from a parent or legal guardian to use CrewStory and to store aviation, profile, document, photo and logbook data in the app, and you should not upload licence, medical, passport or identity documents unless your parent or legal guardian has approved it. One account per person.

3. What CrewStory provides

A personal aviation logbook, roster, memory and recap app for pilots, cabin crew and other aviation professionals: a private place to record flights, hours, layovers, photos, documents and milestones.

4. Not an official system — logbook disclaimer

CrewStory is not an official system of any aviation authority, airline, employer, regulator or training organisation, and is not affiliated with any of them. CrewStory does not guarantee the regulatory compliance of anything it stores, calculates or exports. Currency, duty and flight-time figures are informational aids, not legal determinations.

5. Your responsibility for your data

You are responsible for the accuracy of the flight and logbook data you enter or import, and for verifying it before using it for any professional, legal or authority purpose.

6. Your account

Keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.

7. Your content — ownership & licence

You own the content you create in CrewStory. You grant us only the limited licence needed to host, back up, process and display your content to you so we can operate the service. We do not claim ownership of your logbook, photos, memories or documents, and we do not use them for advertising.

8. Crew / colleague data

If you record data about colleagues (names, staff numbers, photos, notes), you are responsible for having a proper basis to do so and for keeping it private. This data is stored privately to your account and is not shown to those colleagues or made public by CrewStory.

9. Document Vault

The Document Vault lets you store copies of your own documents (licences, medicals, certificates). It is a convenience store, not an official record, and does not replace originals or authority systems. You are responsible for what you upload.

10. Subscriptions

Some features may require a paid subscription. If offered, pricing, billing and renewal are handled by the app store (Apple / Google). Subscriptions renew until cancelled; cancel through your app store account. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

11. Acceptable use

Don’t misuse CrewStory: no unlawful use, no attempts to breach security or access others’ data, no scraping, and no uploading content you have no right to store.

12. Beta

CrewStory is provided in beta. Features may change, break or be removed, and data models may evolve. Keep your own backups of anything critical (you can export your data at any time).

13. Intellectual property

CrewStory’s name, logo, design and software are ours (or our licensors’) and are protected by law. These terms don’t grant you any right to our branding.

14. Termination

You may stop using CrewStory and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if these terms are breached or where necessary to protect the service or other users.

15. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CrewStory is provided “as is” and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses — including lost data you did not export, missed deadlines or expiries, incorrect records or calculations, or rejection of records by any authority or employer. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. (Final liability-cap amount to be confirmed by counsel before public launch.)

16. Governing law

To be confirmed based on CrewStory’s final legal setup and independent legal review before public launch.
